Homemade treats are made with ingredients that contain less fat and even fewer chemical additives. This helps improve their heart function and it combats obesity. Homemade dog treats are made with your own ingredients that are not only helping internally, but externally as well.

Most homemade treats can include simple ingredients that enhance your dog’s coat and help control tartar build up on their teeth. These treats are healthier, and they are inexpensive to make! Most dog treats cost a small fortune (especially if you are getting the healthier brands).

Cinnamon: This is a great flavor addition to any homemade treats. Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties and it helps regulate blood sugar. This is especially great for dogs with arthritis/joint problems and diabetes.

Eggs: Eggs are a great protein source and they contain boflavin, which adds its own natural flavor to the treats.

Oatmeal: Oatmeal is great for dogs who have a sensitive digestive tract! It provides dogs with a fiber and it is a great alternative grain for dogs with grain sensitivities.

Salmon: Salmon is one of the best fish for pups! It is full of Omega 3 Fatty Acids which help support the immune system and aid in a growing and keeping a healthy coat!
